We’re passionate about making a positive difference in the world. All our surplus funds go to local and global charities supporting people in need. When you arrange a funeral with us, we also make an extra donation to one of these groups in honour of your loved one.

Our Giving Program

Last year we distributed $628,000 to Australian charities (*2024-25 Impact Report), as part of our Not-for-Profit giving program. Your family can join us and choose where some of this year’s donation will go by selecting the charity your family cares about most from our mission, humanitarian or local community partners.

Hummingbird House

Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice, offering paediatric palliative care to babies, children and young people.

Nourish Street Inc.

Nourish Street Inc provides free, freshly-made meals, shelter and supplies to people without homes in Bray Park, Kallangur, Petrie, Lawnton, Redcliffe, Strathpine and surrounding areas.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Wycliffe offers Bible translations, and health and literacy support, to communities around the world.

We entrusted Claudia and the Compassionate Funerals team with our father’s cremation and memorial, and we could not have asked for more caring or professional support. If you have sadly lost a precious loved one and you are wondering who would look after them, and your family at this vulnerable time I urge you to call Kim at Compassionate Funerals Brendale. I am writing this from our own experience in October when we lost our beautiful Mum and Grandmother - Shirley, and Kim, Emily and Claudia were THE BEST! I still get a lump in my throat remembering how Claudia held an umbrella as a sunshade over my husband as he spoke (graveside) and gave him some supportive pats when he was teary.
