Online – funeral live streaming

Live stream your funeral

One of the toughest decisions when arranging a funeral is deciding when to hold the service. Although you want to give everyone the chance to attend, there are unfortunately many reasons why friends and family may be unable to join with you on the funeral day.

To give you the chance to share your loved one’s final goodbye, we can provide a secure and private webcasting option for friends and family who are unable to attend in person.

What is webcasting?

Once the funeral starts, discreetly placed cameras will capture your loved one’s funeral and send it securely to the internet. The service will be available to watch in real-time and is recorded so that it can be viewed later on. All you need to access the service is an internet connection, a device that can display video and the email invitation or web link.

Family and friends can join in with the funeral service live or revisit the recording, after the service is complete, at a time that may be more suitable.

How webcasting a funeral works

1. Choose your funeral date

Your Funeral Director will work with you to arrange funeral dates and then schedule the funeral service to automatically begin webcasting at the set time.

2. Direct family and friends to the webcast link

Your Funeral Director can place the weblink on the Compassionate Funerals’ website for quick and easy access. If you are electing to keep the webcast private your Funeral Director will provide you with a link to share.

3. Live stream the funeral

When the service begins, cameras will start streaming so anyone with the link can view the funeral.

4. Watch it again

Access the recording through the same email invitation and watch as many times as you like. You even have the option to download the service to your computer so that you can keep a copy for yourself.
