Funeral Service(s)

My sister and I wanted to create a wonderful funeral for our Mum that was fulfilling in every way. We planned well ahead, from the painting of Mum’s lifestory onto her coffin (which she loved) to the actual service itself at home in our garden. Well, it couldn’t have unfolded more beautifully or perfectly with thanks to Karen and Don. They were there for us on standby all the time with their constant support and understanding. They knew the vital importance of doing things in our own timing and helped us to fulfill all our wishes. And thankyou Karen for your loving, caring, meticulous preparation of Mum making our last vision of her – Beautiful!

Kate Wimble

Your professionalism and compassion was incredible and so appreciated at this difficult time. We were able to give my mum the farewell she deserved and a beautiful, personal and very moving service. So much thanks to Karen, who was so lovely and took so much time and care with us and our mother, who looked so beautiful and at peace.

Verde Family

When my father passed away recently we didn’t know where to start with arranging a funeral service. After phoning a few funeral homes, we were not 100% confident they were suitable. Then we phoned Compassionate Funerals at Brendale and upon speaking with Karen, immediately felt comfortable. The whole process from beginning to end was wonderful and professional. We would not hesitate recommending their family owned business to anyone. Thank you so much Karen and your family for everything.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Mum, Maisie Davis. Karen you made a sad ordeal so manageable for our family. Always so compassionate, respectful and thoughtful towards us the family, as well as Mum. I highly recommend using Compassionate Funerals as they make you feel like you are dealing with friends who really care! Thanks again to you all. Your service was greatly appreciated!

Karen and her team from compassionate funerals ,Have created a business that enables you to find a positive out of what is usually a very negative time.

Karen has a very practical approach was easy to talk to making dealing with the funeral arrangements comforting rather than up setting.

She guided us through each step of organising my husbands funeral. She listened to our thoughts and interpreted them wonderfully by making all his children and his two special granddaughters apart of the service. enabling us to decide how to celebrate my husbands life and give him the kind of funeral he would of appreciated.

We found Don, Karen and Maddie to be caring and attentive to our needs and also most professional in the way they were able to meet those needs during a difficult time. They went out of their way to ensure that everything happened as we wanted it to, went smoothly and with dignity. We are very grateful for their assistance and would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Paul Forsythe

We so appreciated your caring, sensitive guidance and thanks for accommodating all of our requests.

Gloria Burrows & the Burrows Family

During the worst days of our lives, your kindness, support and professionalism made the onerous task of burying our beloved son Paul seem easy. We were never rushed, nothing was ever too much trouble, and you always spoke to us gently and with great kindness. You gave us options we hadn’t thought of. When we were losing faith that everything would be ready, you quietly reassured us it would be, and it was. Thank you seems so inadequate for what you have done for us.

Anne & Bill West

My family were very impressed by the professionalism, care and reasonable costs of my mother’s funeral. Karen and the team at Compassionate Funerals were easy to deal with and responsive to our wishes. I would recommend them to anyone else without reservation.

John Davis

Karen and the team at compassionate funerals are amazing, the love and care that they showed during such a difficult time was outstanding ,Karen listened to what we all wanted and delivered the service beautifully, but the love and support didn’t stop once the service was finished, Karen has contacted my Mum a few times just for a chat to see how she’s going, I really appreciate everything Karen has done she goes above and beyond.

Your professionalism was of the highest degree. It was a difficult time for us, it meant so much to have you look after every detail. The service was perfect, the grandchildren loved being involved with their special readings and the balloons. The Terry family were so happy with the way everything went, it was a beautiful send off for our dearest Mum.

Peter & Lois Terry

You guided us through the week of ‘living hell ‘ as a friend, a mother & a professional. You listened, you organised, you made decisions when we were unable to, you kept us updated & gave us the details we so badly required, you held my hand & helped me walk through that door.
