Two brothers, tasked with celebrating their amazing mothers life with the utmost respect and dignity! From our first phone conversation with Emily we knew that the incredible ladies at Compassionate Funerals were the ones to help us navigate this difficult journey. Our first face to face meeting with Jess confirmed we had made the right decision, as she listened caringly and respectfully to our needs and our mum, Patricia's wishes. She steered us effortlessly through the whole process and put our minds at ease. Every detail was meticulously handled in house right down to the beautiful slideshow tribute. The service was a wonderful, fitting tribute and celebration and we cannot thank Jess, Emily and Kim enough for the professionalism, compassion and care that they provided! Tony and Pete Goschnick

Compassionate Funerals is the most precise title for this group of people. I am so grateful that they were recommended to me by a friend, as I was completely lost and didn't know where to start. From the minute I first spoke to Kim on the phone, I knew I had found the most caring, understanding, professional and knowledgeable team for the daunting task ahead. Kim, Emily and Jessica made us feel so comfortable, and guided us through every step of the process, including matching us with the equally wonderful and creative David Taylor to lead the service on the day. I was updated as each stage progressed, and nothing was too much trouble when I wasn't thinking straight and needed to make little changes. As a result of their tireless efforts the outcome on the day was beautiful, and the entire funeral and burial and even all the follow up necessities were absolutely perfect and seamless. All we had to do was be there and get through it all. While it is not something I wish anyone to have to go through, it is inevitable, and when you have lost a loved one, I strongly recommend that you engage Compassionate Funerals to help you through this tough time. Myself and my family are so happy that we did.

I'm quite late in adding this review, but it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the incredible kindness, thoughtfulness and patience that Kim and the team at Compassionate Funerals showed our family when our beloved Jim passed in March 2026. It was a quick turnaround, and of course we were very overwhelmed - but Kim made the process so straightforward for us. She was so warm and understanding of how raw the grief was, and ensured everything ran as smoothly and stress-free as possible. The service itself was beautiful, we couldn't have asked for more. Many efforts were made to include personal touches, and Kim also connected us with our lovely celebrant Wendy. It's not something I'd wish on anyone, but for anyone navigating this stage of life, I can't recommend Compassionate Funerals enough to help you in your time of need.

We recently repatriated my father to the UK and Compassionate Funerals were superb. I would highly recommend this not for profit funeral service. Claudia and her team were kind, empathetic and professional
